A Bikepacking Route For Everyone

Cannon Ball 300 - The Cannon Ball 300 route was created as an introductory 300Km bikepacking route that allows riders to gain experience bikepacking, test their gear and enjoy some of the best riding Southern Ontario has to offer without having to traveling too far off the beaten path.

The route connects some of Ontario's most under-utilized rail trail, waterfront trail and greenbelt routes for all skills and adventuring cycling disciplines.

Why Cannon Ball?

This route was named Cannon Ball 300 to commemorate the short lived production of the Cannon Ball bicycle manufactured in Thorold, Ontario from 1895 to 1898. The route passes through Thorold, where a mural displays the town's history.
