A Bikepacking Route For Everyone

Cannon Ball 300 - The Cannon Ball 300 route was created as an introductory 300Km bikepacking route that allows riders to gain experience bikepacking without having to choose between weeks away from life's responsibilities and a multi-day adventure.

The route connects some of Ontario's most under-utilized rail trail, waterfront trail and greenbelt routes for all skills and adventuring cycling disciplines. 

There will be a Grand Depart August 19th 2023 where fellow bikepackers depart together in Dundas, Ontario. See rules and route pages for more information.

Why Cannon Ball?
​This route was named Cannon Ball 300 to commemorate the short lived production of the Cannon Ball bicycle manufactured in Thorold, Ontario from 1895 to 1898. The route passes through Thorold, where a mural displays the town's history.
