The Cannon Ball 300 route was created as an introductory bikepacking route that allows riders to gain experience bikepacking without having to choose between weeks away from life's responsibilities and a multi-day adventure.
CAMPING
On the route there are many provincial parks, conservation areas and private campsites to rest your tired
legs and - if you're lucky - snag a shower. During the summer these parks will fill up quickly so it is suggested to make a reservation months in advance. That being said, it is common that these parks reserve a small number of sites for walk (or ride!) in customers.
Stealth camping is not endorsed.

TRAIL CONDITIONS
The Cannon Ball 300 bikepacking route is a mix of paved roads, rail trail, gravel, and hard packed clay. A gravel style drop bar bike with tires larger than 30mm wide would be the best suited bike for fast, high mileage days. A cross country mountain bike or touring style bicycle would offer comfort for riders looking to sacrifice time for luxuries like cargo space and higher volume tires.
